“Robison directs this comic drama, set in 1930, with brisk action and smart dialogue by her cast of six.”
-Third Coast Review
The Dover Road was a site-specific immersive staging of a little known comedy of manners by A.A. Milne, performed at the Glessner House Museum, a National Historic Landmark. Audience members were given tours of the period-approrpriate hosue before returning to the Coach House for the performance.
The story follows the rich and eccentric Latimer, who waylays couples running away together to Paris at her house on the Dover Road. Our production gender swapped the character of Latimer and brought to the forefront the play’s implied observations on sexuality and geneder expression.
